Dr. Ram Shrestha:

When Ram was nine his mother died. It was then that he decided to become a doctor. He got a scholarship and studied medicine in Vienna, and, after his training at Feldkirch, he became a surgeon. He decided to go back to Nepal, and,  with his Austrian friends, together “Nepalimed Austria”, he built a hospital that was opened in 1996 by the then King of Nepal. Dr. Ram is manager of the hospital.
Ram Shrestha’s success is a result of his dynamic character, his assertiveness, and his open-management-way of  running the hospital. His philosophy is:

“Evolution, not revolution”

Nepalimed supports the hospital by sending medical equipment.
In addition, Dutch doctors advise and train the medical staff.
